Summary of GCSE Results 2013

Achieving 5+ A*-C including English & Mathematics       68%

This is 9% above the expected score of 59% which the top 25% of similar schools would get if students had performed in line with their Key Stage 2 results. The 9% above is the best score in Somerset state secondary schools.

27% of our A Level Students achieved grades  A*, A or B or higher in at least 2 facilitating subjects.  In 2012 only 227 out of about 2400 schools with sixth forms got over 25%. (Facilitating subjects are those considered by the more selective universities to be most useful in gaining admission to the widest range of degree courses).
